Overview

After graduating from Ohio State’s Radiation Therapy program in 2014, Abbey began her career at the Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center, where she developed her technical skills and developed a deep understanding of patient-centered care as a staff therapist before advancing to a lead therapist role.

Driven by a desire to learn, Abbey pursued a Master’s in Clinical Pharmacology at Ohio State, earning her degree in 2018. From 2019 to 2025, Abbey worked as a Clinical Applications Specialist for a leading Radiation Oncology technology company. In this role, Abbey taught other radiation oncology professionals how to use an innovative software program aimed at enhancing patient comfort and safety during treatments. This role taught her how to explain complex ideas in a clear and engaging way, which will be valuable when teaching students. Over the years she has built strong relationships with many radiation therapy clinics throughout Ohio and beyond, which will help grow the program by creating more opportunities for student learning and clinical partnerships.

With a strong passion for clinical education and innovation, Abbey is dedicated to advancing the field of radiation therapy. Abbey is eager to share her knowledge and experience, helping to shape the future of radiation therapy through mentorship, collaboration, and driving continuous improvement in patient care.
