Overview
Dr. Megan Bane is an assistant professor in the Division of Athletic Training at The Ohio State University. Dr. Bane earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from The Ohio State University, Master of Science in Athletic Training degree from Ohio University, and Doctor of Education degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from The Ohio State University.
Prior to her current role as a faculty member, Dr. Bane worked as an outreach athletic trainer for Ohio State Sports Medicine for 7 years where she primarily served The Ohio State University Reserve Officer Training Corps and BalletMet Columbus. Dr. Bane has also served as an adjunct faculty member at Ohio Dominican University, Wilmington College, Columbus State Community College, and in Ohio University’s Athletic Training Residency Program.
Dr. Bane is engaged in professional service within the athletic training community through the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers Association and the Journal of Athletic Training. Her research interests include dance and performing arts medicine and healthcare students’ transition to clinical practice.
