I currently work here at Ohio State in the Sleep Disorders Clinic as a sleep nurse practitioner. I practiced as an RT for 6 years before obtaining my master’s degree and securing a job in sleep medicine. My primary focus is working with patients who have been diagnosed with sleep disordered breathing with an interest in the bariatric population. My clinical expertise is with PAP adherence and troubleshooting difficult to manage cases. I also manage asthma and COPD in my outpatient clinical setting. I have been involved clinically with the undergraduate program precepting students for their sleep clinic rotation senior year. I also provide the junior class with a sleep lab and lecture. I currently serve as a preceptor for the Family Nurse Practitioner Fellowship program, Cardiology Nurse Practitioner Fellowship program, and College of Nursing graduate students.
I am a clinical instructor for the MRT program and look forward to sharing my advanced practice skills and experience with the incoming students.
I am active in the AARC and currently serve as the Section Chair for Sleep. I have presented at the local, state and national levels.
Research Interests
I am currently on an IRB for evaluation of mental health comorbidies among patients implanted with the Inspire hypoglossal nerve stimulator and the outcome involving adherence to therapy.
