Usability and User Experience
The Usability and User Experience in Health Care (UUEH) online certificate program focuses on the application of science and technology to design or validate the safety of Electronic Health Record (EHR) software. The certificate program provides students with an educational foundation to meet federal requirements for validating the safety of health information technology.
The online certificate program is flexible, offering the opportunity for students to complete the entire certificate program online with no required attendance during scheduled times. Utilizing educational technologies, including case study videos and discussions, students receive a breadth of educational experiences.
The UUEH certificate program is offered at the undergraduate and graduate levels to accommodate individuals seeking an educational pathway to develop or expand their skills with usability testing and user experience design. The certificates are designed to meet the educational goals of both students currently enrolled at Ohio State and non-degree seeking students looking to advance their careers. The UUEH program is a freestanding program that does not require completion of an undergraduate or graduate degree.
