National Radiologic Technology Week is celebrated annually to recognize the vital work of medical imaging professionals across the nation. The celebration takes place each year during the week that commemorates the discovery of the x-ray by Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen on Nov. 8, 1895.
The weeklong celebration calls attention to the important role that radiographers, diagnostic medical sonographers and radiation therapists’ play in patient care and health care safety. This year our School will be celebrating National Rad Tech Week from November 3-9, 2019 and the theme is “Waves of the Future.”
Every day, medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals use powerful technology to create critical diagnostic images and to treat cancer and other diseases. It is important to educate the next generation about the pride that these medical professionals take in their work and their valuable role as part of the health care team.
