The Ohio State University School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (HRS) is shaping the future of health care—and the numbers tell the story. In 2024–2025, HRS enrolled 2,943 students across 23 programs, graduated 1,393 future health professionals and earned national recognition with top rankings, including #4 in Physical Therapy, #5 Online Bachelor’s in Health Sciences and #9 in Occupational Therapy by U.S. News & World Report.
Our impact goes beyond the classroom. With $12.2 million in research funding, HRS faculty and students are leading breakthroughs—from NIH-supported nutrition strategies for pancreatic disease to a $2.9 million Department of Defense grant for the AquOTic program, which is saving lives through water safety education for children with autism. Students gained hands-on experience through initiatives like CARESTREAM, delivering 3,100+ experiential learning hours and interprofessional programs that prepare graduates for collaborative, patient-centered care.
As we look ahead, HRS is advancing bold priorities through its Transforming Health in 2030 roadmap: expanding high-demand programs, launching new academic offerings and deepening community partnerships. With more than $5 million in philanthropic support fueling scholarships and innovation, we’re building a future where education, research and service transform lives.
