Lisa Di Tommaso, MS, RD, LD, director of Student Services in The Ohio State University School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, has been recognized with the 2026 Distinguished Staff Award at the College of Medicine’s annual Dean’s Excellence Awards.
The Distinguished Staff Award recognizes individuals whose ongoing performance excellence, expertise and dedication make a meaningful impact on the college’s mission and community.
With more than 20 years of service at Ohio State, Di Tommaso has become the cornerstone of student support and academic excellence, leading a team that supports thousands of undergraduate and graduate students across more than 24 academic programs.
Throughout her career, Di Tommaso has spearheaded transformative initiatives that have shaped the student experience and strengthened HRS. She has provided steady leadership and has remained deeply committed to supporting student success through periods of growth and change, ensuring continuity and support.
“We don’t ever stay still — we’re always moving forward,” Di Tommaso said. “Our students are our beacon, and their ability and confidence to be successful Buckeyes is the most important thing for us. It’s an honor to be recognized for this work.”
Di Tommaso is widely recognized for her mentorship, strategic vision and ability to foster collaboration among faculty, staff and students. She leads with humanity, inspires growth and cultivates a culture of excellence and belonging, reflecting the very spirit of this award.
