Three scholarships are available through the Medical Dietetics Division at The Ohio State University.

The Barbara Bott Memorial Foundation Scholarship was developed by her husband and friends to honor her fondness for Medical Dietetics. She was a graduate of both the undergraduate and graduate programs conducting research on Diabetes Education and Meal Planning. To be eligible students must have a GPA of at least 3.0 and be a senior or a second year in the internship or in the graduate portion of the coordinated graduate program while the scholarship is received.

The M. Rosita Schiller Foundation Scholarship is to honor the Director of Medical Dietetics and recognize her leadership and contributions to the academic community for 25 years. She always encouraged students to pursue challenges and studies that develop their leadership abilities and talents. To be eligible students must have a GPA of at least 3.0 and be a senior or a second year in the internship or in the graduate portion of the Graduate Coordinated Program while the scholarship is received.


The Natalie Ridgway Foundation Scholarship was developed by family and friends to honor Natalie’s enduring spirit, determination, and exceptional standards for her students. The purpose of the foundation is to promote professional development for Medical Dietetics students and to assist current and future students in promoting Natalie’s professional interests by conducting research and presenting at professional meetings. Every student awarded these funds will acknowledge that s/he was “Funded in memory of Natalie Ridgway."

The amount of each award is based on the total amount of money available in the scholarship fund and the student’s scholarly achievements and financial need. The number and amount of each scholarship varies from year to year.
