Counseling and consultation services are available to all students currently enrolled in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and the College of Medicine. These services include:

  • Individual therapy
  • Group therapy 
  • General mental health consultation

Individual Appointments

Our new mental health counselors, Lisa Hayes and Tyler Rogols, are now providing individual counseling services to students enrolled in HRS and the College of Medicine. Appointments are provided virtually via a secure and confidential video chat platform. To schedule an appointment, simply email hrscom.counseling@osumc.edu, indicate which program you are enrolled in and that you are interested in scheduling an initial counseling appointment.

Virtual Mental Health Groups - Offered via Zoom

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Group
Eight-week evidence-based program offering secular, intensive mindfulness training to assist students with stress, anxiety, depression and pain. This is a private group, please email Tyler if you're interested in joining.

Emergency and Crisis Response

Urgent or crisis needs should not be emailed. Emails are not checked on weekends or after business hours. If you or someone you’re supporting is experiencing a mental health crisis and is in need of emergency support please go to the nearest emergency room, call 911 or Netcare Access at 614-276-2273 for 24 hour crisis mental health services.

After-hours and Ohio State Counseling and Consultation Services provides crisis consultation for students by calling 614-292-5766 and choosing option 2 which includes weekends and holidays.
