Our Outpatient Pharmacy offers prescription services for patients of the The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and the James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, as well as employees of The Ohio State University and their dependents. We provide personalized service and are dedicated to improving patient care by easing the challenges of managing medications.

Refill My Prescription

The Outpatient Pharmacy uses MyChart to help you manage your prescriptions electronically. You can request a refill from the pharmacy for prescriptions that are already being filled by any of our Outpatient Pharmacy locations.

If any of the medications you would like to refill do not have any refills left, or if the prescription is not already being filled by your Outpatient Pharmacy location, MyChart will send a request for a new prescription to your prescriber.

Drug Take-Back Receptacle

The Ohio State University Outpatient Pharmacy has launched a Drug Take-Back Program that offers a convenient way for patients, visitors, employees and students to safely dispose of unused, unwanted or expired medications. A Drug Take-Back Receptacle is located in the Outpatient Pharmacy on the conference level of The James.

Through this program, Ohio State is taking an important step by helping to keep these drugs from causing harm or having a negative environmental impact and by supporting the strategic efforts to further our sustainable practices.
