The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
Alison Mincey is the senior associate vice president of Human Resources for The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Since August 2017, Alison effectively led the HR team at the Wexner Medical Center in an interim lead capacity and established strong working relationships with physicians, faculty and staff throughout the medical center. She was officially named the permanent leader in January 2018.
Alison serves as the principal strategic advisor on all aspects of human resources strategy and operations at the Wexner Medical Center, to include the Health System and College of Medicine. She is a member of the senior leadership team of the Wexner Medical Center, and also serves on the executive leadership team of the Office of Human Resources for the university. More specific to HR strategy and operations, Alison is accountable for the performance of the HR business unit directors within the Wexner Medical Center, their staffs and the HR & Payroll service center, in addition to ensuring efficient utilization of the HR centers of excellence for Employee and Labor Relations, Talent Management, Information Technology and Compensation/Benefits.
Alison joined the Office of Human Resources in January 2014, in an executive leadership role as associate vice president of Employee Relations Strategy & Risk Management. Immediately prior to joining Ohio State, Alison, a licensed attorney, supported Human Resources from a legal perspective at Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company.
Over the last four years at Ohio State, she has demonstrated her versatility as a senior HR leader, assuming additional responsibilities in the areas of Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development and Special Projects. In 2016, she collaboratively joined three of her peers in serving as interim leadership of HR while a national search to hire a new SVP was underway.
