Entry into the professional program is selective and competitive. Transfer credit may not be used for required profession courses except under petition and review by the Program Director and/or admissions committee. The professional program is comprehensive and includes both didactic (classroom) and supervised practice components.

These two components should not be viewed as separate entities.  Instead, they are linked and both are part of our goal to produce the best dietitian possible. The classroom education component focuses on the theory and knowledge behind the practice of dietetics. The supervised practice component focuses on the real-world application of this knowledge.  Students should place equal priority on success in BOTH  portions of the curriculum.  Students should understand that their supervised practice experiences are part of their educational curriculum. Please refer to the MSDI Handbook or the Curriculum Sheet for more information
