Admission to the MS/DI program follows the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) application process through DICAS, the Dietetic Internship Centralized Application Service. Students applying to the program must provide a verification statement from an accredited ACEND didactic program. Students can learn more about this formal process
on ACEND's Website

Graduate applicants are scored on a number of criteria to rank applicants in the DICAS system.

Faculty participating in the scoring process read letters of reference, work and volunteer experiences, as well as the letter of intent. The student’s GPA and GRE scores are also evaluated in scoring. After scoring, the applicants with the highest composite scores are invited to interview (usually via Skype) to evaluate mutual interest in the program as well as the applicant’s representation style.
